Tony Geftos is an American 2-time Emmy award-winning news anchor and reporter working for 13ABC. He joined WTVG-TV in June 2000 and since September 2021, he has been the co-anchor of Action News at 4 PM with Christina Williams. Additionally, Geftos can be seen reporting during 13abc Action News at 11 PM.

Geftos is the news anchor and reporter of 13ABC. Before moving to Toledo, he worked at the Silent City of Rocks National Reserve in Idaho as an interpretive ranger. While there he played a role in the Times-News in Twin Falls, ID. Later, he transitioned to television by joining KGWC-TV in Casper, WY as a reporter, where he met his partner while taking part in opposite leads in a Stage III Community Theatre production of “I Hate Hamlet.” Afterward, he traveled to Santa Barbara, Central California where he got his second broadcasting job.
Moreover, Geftos works for The University of Toledo as an adjunct instructor. His job is to teach Television Production, Public Presentations and Writing for Media. Besides that, from 2018 until 2019, he used to be the president of the Ohio Associated Press Media Editors.
Of late, Geftos published 2 children’s books called “A Plague of Heart-Shaped Pox” and The Heart-Shaped Pox”, according to his knowledge of long-lasting grown-up chickenpox on Valentine’s Day. The books were illustrated by local cartoonist Don Lee.
In his leisure time, he loves to play alto saxophone in the Polish American Concert Band, working as an emcee for different charity events.
