Every single morning, Smith is found in the Piedmont Triad reporting live on all things from the circus to breaking news as well as community fundraisers. Additionally, she was live reporting hurricanes on the North Carolina coast and traveled to the red carpet in Hollywood where she covered everything in North Carolina participants on American Idol. Previously in May 2000, she joined FOX8 News as a reporter after leaving Greensboro using her car to travel across the country.
Smith served at NBC affiliate in Charleston, South Carolina, which was her first job as a reporter.
