Otis worked as the weekend sports journalist anchoring a half-hour sports wrap-up show named Sunday Sports Express for WPHL-TV in Philadelphia two years before joining WWOR TV. He also served as a co-anchor at the weekly show with Eagles Head Coach Ray Rhodes. Before that, he worked as a weekend sports reporter for two years at WTVO-TV in Rockford.
He is a member of the board of the New Jersey Music Workshop for the Arts and the communion of Christian Athletes, Philadelphia chapter.
