In February 2001, she served the Southern District of New York as an Assistant United States Attorney under Mary Jo White who is a U.S attorney. Later in 2016, she was honored by the Department of Justice with the Women In Federal Law Enforcement Leadership Award. Additionally, she served at the Southern District of New York for nearly two decades as an assistant U.S attorney before quitting in 2017.
Most importantly she began her legal career under judge John Gleeson while working as a clerk for United States Eastern District. From there, Rocah was in her second circuit of the
United States Court of Appeals but with a different judge called Chester J. Straub. Later on, Rocah searched for a position at Cravath, Swaine & Moore law firm as a litigation consultant.

In July 2021, she declared her office might withdraw every unclosed marijuana possession case and decrease their prosecution from advancing. She also gathered national press following asking for proof on New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo, after a state attorney general’s report showing he made numerous acts of sexual harassment.
In the fall of 2019, she declared that she would start a minor competition against incumbent Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, who is a member of the Democrat party. Rocah won the minor elections and was endorsed by Scarpino against Republican applicant Bruce Bendish, 42 days earlier to the general elections, Rocah’s path was clear after Bendish had paused his campaign for district attorney citing ‘certain realities’ in the race. Later on, she won the Westchester County District Attorney election for 2020 and was sworn in by former staff Preet Bharara in the wake of 2021.
