Cherry anchors WMUR News 9 at 5:30 and WMUR News 9 at 7:30. He joined the station in October 2017. In addition to anchoring he reports daily on what’s happening across the Granite State. He previously served as an evening news anchor and reporter for KITVMore Local News. He was also a fill-in sports anchor.
He began his career at KGMB9 in Honolulu as an intern before becoming a cameraman and a video editor. He stayed in the station for six years before joining Hawaii News Now as a sports anchor.
Throughout his career, he has been fortunate to travel around the world while doing the job he loves. From a series of reports in Indonesia documenting the aftermath of a devastating tsunami, to following Hawaii-born athletes Manti Te’o and Marcus Mariota to the Heisman Ceremony in New York and NFL Draft in Chicago.
