After that, he returned to school in 1989 and studied media at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts. There, he got an Associate Diploma in Media Studies.

In 2017, he became the host of Murder Uncovered, a new crime show on Seven News. He was then named the host of The Seven News Lates in December 2018. Prior to working with Seven News, He began his career first as a journalist at the Golden West Television Network in Bunbury in 1990. He was then sent to Kalgoorlie, and the following year he started at STW-9 in Perth. He came back working with Nine Network in 2001 as an Us Correspondent. He went back to Australia to work as a presenter where he replaced Ellen Fanning. In 2008 and 2009, he presented the weekend news, Nine News.
