Forsey is a multimedia journalist and reporter for WGHP. Before joining the station, she worked for WNCT as a multimedia journalist and weekend anchor for two years. During her tenure in Eastern North Carolina, Forsey covered the impact of Hurricane Dorian and numerous tropical weather events. In addition, she went after the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on the ENC community, covered the former President Donald Trump numerous visits, and lastly, she moved to Elizabeth City to cover the deputy-intricate shooting murder of Andrew Brown Jr.
Earlier on, at all times Forsey was aware she wanted to serve in broadcast journalism. While she was young, she used to wake up early to watch the TODAY show and local news programming before going to school. Before that, she was a reporter and anchor for Carolina Week and Carolina Now at UNC-CH where she jumped in before time in college, as a result, assisted her school win state identification for an excellent college broadcast. From there, she proceeded to intern at ABC-11 WTVD and in Raleigh to work for Spectrum News.
Forsey is a passionate storyteller ready to interact with people across the Piedmont Triad. She’s thrilled to proceed with her career in the Tar Heel state. To sum up, outside of work, she’s found outdoors, cheering on her Heels and trying out new restaurants and breweries.
