Laura Kuenssberg is a British Journalsit. She currently presents on Sunday morning BBC’s political show. She joined the network in 2015, taking over Nick Robinson, who was the station’s political editor. Laura became the first woman to take the position. She stepped down as the network’s political editor on May 6, 2022.
She took over from Andrew Marr as the host of the BBC’s weekend political interview programme. The show started airing in September 2022 entitled “Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg.”

Laura is the daughter of Nick Kuenssberg and Sally Kuenssberg. Nick, Laura’s father, is a businessman, while her mother worked in children’s services. Sally received a CBE for her services in the 2000 New Year Honours. Nick’s father, who is Laura’s grandfather, was German-born Ekkehard von Kuenssberg. He is a co-founder and chairman of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Laura’s maternal grandfather was Lord Robertson. Robertson was a judge of the Scots High Court of Justiciary, and his brother James Wilson Robertson became the last British Governor General of Nigeria.
Laura has one brother and one sister. David laura’s elder brother served as an executive director of finance and resources at Brighton. He is also a council of Hove City. Joanna Kuenssberg is her elder sister and a former diplomat. She has served as high commissioner to Mozambique.

Kuenssberg currently serves as the presenter of the BBC’s flagship political interview programme, Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg. She moved to present after having been the network’s political editor for more than seven years, from 2015 until 2022. Laura was previously the Newsnight’s chief correspondent and a frequent reporter of the programme.
Kuenssberg had moved from working as ITV News business editor. She announced on November 12 2013, that she would leave ITV to return to the BBC to take the position of chief correspondent and presenter of Newsnight. She took over Gavin Esler in the latter role, joining Newsnight in February 2014. Kuenssberg also co-presented the BBC’s Brexitcast podcast besides Katya Adler, Adam Fleming, and Chris Mason, which was later named as Newscast podcast.
Prior to moving to BBC, Kuenssberg had worked in several local radio and T.V.
