To begin with, Kasper launched her career as a multimedia journalist and reporter for Gray Television Washington News Bureau. She launched her career at the station but previously, she worked at WPTA based in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
During this time, she served as a reporter and anchor at the station. She worked with a group that broke the news about the apprehending in the 1988 April Tinsley cold case completing decades of ongoing coverage in the kid’s homicide. Besides that, Kasper has been covering different matters in Washington; interviewing presidential aspirants, White House officials, lawmakers and cabinet secretaries.
Before moving to Washington, she started her journalism career when she was in Cheyenne, Wyoming working as Chief Capitol Correspondent for K2 Television. First, she was a production assistant from August 2013 until January 2014 followed by a promotion becoming the capital bureau reporter for almost half a decade before leaving the station. During this time, she was at the statehouse for three years reporting on extra-economic issues, agriculture, energy industry, the coal and the budget.
She carries on in being very interested in arts, with a life-long valuing for musical theatre, opera and choral music. In conclusion, she presently sits on the board of directors for the Alexandria Choral Society.
