Jeremy Francis John Bowen is a  Welsh journalist and television presenter. He was the BBC’s Middle East correspondent between 1995 and 2000 and its middle East editor since 2005. His father was the former editor at Radio News and also reported the Aberfan coal slurry disaster in 1966.

Jeremy Bowen began his profesional career as a correspondent when he joined the BBC in 1984. in 1986 he became a war correspondent and has travelled to more than 70 countries. during the 1990 war in Bosnia, he was robbed at gunpoint while reporting from Kosovo.

He was a television presenter between 2000 and 2002 the morning show “breakfast” together with Mosses. He covered the death news of Pope John Paul II during that time as a TV presenter.

In 2005, he became the BBC’s first Middle East Editor. He is the first British journalist to interview Libyan revolutionary and politician, Muammar Gaddafi. Jeremy Bowen was one of the few Journalist reporting in Syria during the war.
