She worked both in the field and during the same time, the first all-sports station in Detroit was getting ready to hit the airwaves, and she tried her luck. Jennifer drove home for a few days and called Program Director Lorna Gladstone at the Fan. The purpose of the call was to set up a meeting which she did and was immediately hired. She worked in Detroit for three years, reporting on everything, including the Lions, the Tigers, MSU UM football, and hoops.
