He previously worked as a sports reporter and co-host for WDFN sports radio 1130 in Detroit, Michigan. Before moving to Detroit, she was employed in Chicago as a traffic and sports reporter serving for Chicago and Television News.

She took determination six months after graduating; she moved to Chicago. She was hired as a receptionist in Chicago at an audio production company. This job helped her meet individuals in the business and assisted in upgrading her audition tape.

After a few months, she earned an opportunity to try out at Shadow Traffic and got a break from radio. After she attended unpaid training for two weeks, she landed a full-time job that lasted for about three years. She also landed another on-camera chance to work at CLTV in Oakbrook, Illinois, responsible for morning traffic reports at the vital wall. Later, an opportunity opened up for a morning sports anchor, and she took over.

By late Spring of 1994, she was at a crossroads and ready to take the next path of being a successful and famous sports anchor. She worked both in the field and during the same time, the first all-sports station in Detroit was getting ready to hit the airwaves, and she tried her luck. Jennifer drove home for a few days and called Program Director Lorna Gladstone at the Fan. The purpose of the call was to set up a meeting which she did and was immediately hired. She worked in Detroit for three years, reporting on everything, including the Lions, the Tigers, MSU UM football, and hoops.

She has worked at Fox 2 for two decades since 1997 and holds two Emmy Honors awarded for her excellent work as a sports journalist.
