Mitchell was named a Western Conference reserve for the 2022 NBA All-Star Game on February 3, 2022, marking his third consecutive All-Star selection. On April 16, during Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs, he logged 32 points, six rebounds, and six assists in a 99–93 win over the Dallas Mavericks.
