Bolduc entered the 2020 United States Senate election in New Hampshire in June 2019, seeking the Republican nomination to run against incumbent Democratic senator Jeanne Shaheen. He lost the Republican primary to Trump-endorsed Corky Messner. During the election campaign, Bolduc ran a television ad attacking Democrats as “a bunch of liberal, socialist pansies,” a remark perceived as being homophobic.
Donald closely tied himself to Trump After the 2020 election, and in February 2021 announced that he would run for Senate again in the 2022 election, hoping to challenge Democratic incumbent Senator Maggie Hassan. In the Republican primary, he ran against Chuck Morse, the president of the New Hampshire State Senate. Bolduc’s served as the Deputy Director for Operations, United States Africa Command, since August, 2013. A native of Laconia, New Hampshire, Brigadier General Bolduc earned his ROTC commission in 1989, graduating from Salem State College, New Hampshire. Those commands include: Combined Forces Special Operations Component Command, Afghanistan; Combined Joint Special Operation Task Force – Afghanistan; 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, Afghanistan; C Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne); and HHC, 5th Special Forces Group.
