Dave previously worked at WTXF-TV, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, before joining CBS 4. He had worked in several stations as a meteorologist, including Al Jazeera America in New Your City, KPAX-TV in Missoula, Montana, and WCAU-TV in Philadelphia.
Warren has broadcasted a wide range of national weather events, including the 2000 wildfires in the Western United States, the California drought, the record snowfall winter of 2009-2010 in Philadelphia, and Hurricane Sandy. Warren grew up just outside of Philadelphia and built an interest in weather one day when a golf round was cut short by a violent thunderstorm. Furthermore, his interest in thunderstorms led him to Tornado alley and pushed him to join one of the best Meteorology schools in the country.
Warren enjoys spending his time sharing meteorology knowledge with students and teachers. He is a mentor for the Student Weather Station and Datastream Atmosphere, programs that bring the meteorological science curriculum into the classroom. Warren also works closely with the scouting community as an Eagle Scout and often visits local troops to offer assistance to the boys get their Weather Merit Badge.
