In 2013, Tarek was diagnosed with both thyroid and testicular cancer. When doctors recommended radiation treatment, the couple decided to bank Tarek’s sperm and try in-vitro fertilization to have a second child. The first attempt failed and Christina suffered a miscarriage on the second try. She became pregnant with their son in 2015.
In May 2016, the couple separated after an incident at their Southern California home. Tarek was found by the police on a nearby hiking trail and was in possession of a handgun. He maintained he was never suicidal and had simply gone for a hike, taking a gun to protect himself from wild animals.
Tarek and Christina filed for divorce in 2017 and the divorce was finalized in January 2018.
She began dating English television presenter Ant Anstead IN 2017. On December 22, 2018, she married Anstead at their Newport Beach, California home and officially changed her name to Christina Anstead, dropping the last name of her first husband. The couple’s only child together was born on September 6, 2019.
They announced their separation on September 18, 2020, and she filed for divorce in November. She also reverted to her maiden name of Christina Haack, dropping the last name of her second husband. The divorce was finalized in June 2021. On April 28, 2022, Anstead filed for full custody of Hudson, accusing Haack of putting their son at medical risk.
People magazine announced that Haack was dating realtor Joshua Hall on July 2021, and the couple got engaged the following September. On April 5, 2022, it was reported the couple married with her name also changing to Christina Hall. On September 3, 2022, the couple married a second time in Hawaii.

Christina Hall, who is currently married to realtor Joshua Hall, has three children: daughter Taylor, born in 2010, son Brayden, born in 2015 (both of whom she shares with El Moussa), and son Hudson, born in 2019 (whom she shares with her second former spouse, Ant Anstead).

(Tarek has been married to Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa [née Young] since October 2021, while Anstead has been dating Renée Zellweger since June 2021.) However, the coparents have all weathered their fair share of drama over the years.
Christina Hall HGTV
Christina is also the author of The Wellness Remodel and designer of Christina @ Home, a line of more than 35 home furnishing pieces including sofas, end tables, accent chairs and more. Her newest show, Christina in the Country, will premiere in 2023.
Tarek El Moussa asked a friend to help him make an audition tape for HGTV in 2011. Pie Town Productions expressed interest in the tape. HGTV producers had also noticed the couple’s Instagram profile, which featured before and after profiles of several renovation projects. HGTV signed the couple to produce a show for the network in 2012. In April 2013, Flip Or Flop debuted on the network. In a 2014 interview, Hall said, “Each episode shows things that can go wrong, and do go wrong”.
In June 2018, it was announced that Hall would be featured in her own spin-off show, Christina on the Coast. The first episode of season 1 focused on Hall renovating her new post-divorce home, with the remaining seven episodes focusing on her renovating other people’s homes. Filming began in fall 2018, for a spring 2019 premiere. The show’s second season premiered on January 2, 2020, on HGTV. In 2017, Hall presented at the Daytime Emmys.
Hall ran the real-estate agency Tarek and Christina: The El Moussa Group with her first husband Tarek in Orange County, California. The husband-and-wife team sold real estate in the southern California area. When the housing market plummeted after the October 2008 stock market crash, their real estate business suffered. The El Moussas went from living in a $6,000-per-month house to a $700-per-month apartment in just a few years.
In 2010, the El Moussas, along with their business partner Pete De Best, bought their first investment property in Santa Ana, California for $115,000, selling the property for a profit of $34,000. The trio continued to flip houses, expanding their real-estate investing business into Arizona and Nevada. The El Moussa Group was dissolved in 2018. The business is now owned by Tarek and Associates, a sole venture of Tarek El Moussa.
Christina Hall Wedding
Christina Hall’s wedding day with Joshua Hall was all about their new blended family.
After quietly tying the knot in the past year and celebrating their wedding last month in Maui, Hawaii, the HGTV star, 39, reminisces about their “small and intimate” nuptials with PEOPLE and what made the big day “really special” for both the newlyweds and their kids.
“Our reception overlooked Kapalua Bay, where I have so many wonderful memories growing up and vacationing there as a child with my parents,” Christina says.
She fondly recalls sharing the experience with her three children — daughter Taylor Reese, 12, and son Brayden James, 7, whom she shares with her first husband Tarek El Moussa, as well as her 3-year-old son Hudson London with ex Ant Anstead — and Joshua’s niece Audrey, 5½, who is the daughter of his sister, The Hills alum Stacie Adams.
“Some of my favorite memories that special day were spent with the children before the ceremony,” she recalls. “Taylor and I tearing up telling each other how much we love each other, and seeing my boys in matching suits planning their walk down the aisle on each side of me. I thanked them all for being the greatest blessing and joy of my life.”
“Once the ceremony started, seeing how beautiful Taylor looked walking with her now cousin Audrey ahead of the boys and I. Brayden and Hudson at my sides holding each one of my hands. Then coming to the alter to look into my husbands eyes was all I could ever ask for in such a perfect and magical day,” Christina added.
The Christina on the Coast star is also reflecting on her journey to finding lasting love after the big day.
“Life has taken me off course at times, but I’m completely on the path I want to be on now,” she says. “My heart is full, this is true love and this marriage is forever.”

HGTV ordered a six-part docuseries, tentatively titled Christina in the Country, where the California native, 39, and her spouse expand her thriving design business in the Midwest.
“I am so excited and grateful Christina in the Country has officially been picked up,” the Wellness Remodel author said in a statement on Thursday, April 7. “I love that I get the best of both worlds — the coast and the country. It’s an incredible opportunity to get to work in Tennessee, our home away from home.”
The spinoff is set to follow Christina, Joshua and her three children Taylor, 11, Brayden, 6, and Hudson, 2, whom she shares with exes Tarek El Moussa and Ant Anstead, respectively as they put down roots in Tennessee.
The TV network also renewed her Christina on the Coast series in which she designs residential properties across her hometown of Orange County, California for additional episodes.
“Christina has captivated millions of passionate fans with her West Coast life in three seasons of Christina on the Coast,” HGTV’s Vice President of Programming, Katie Ruttan-Daigle, said in a statement. “Now she’s ready to share new family adventures and stunning design and renovation projects set in the beautiful Tennessee countryside. We can’t wait to see what’s next for her in Christina in the Country.”
The reality TV personality and Joshua also launched a joint production company, called Unbroken Productions.
“Having my own production company to produce what I want has always been a huge dream,” Christina gushed via Instagram last month. “I love that I have the most hard working / creative partner in Josh and we have this amazing team to create content with. I am so grateful for this new opportunity.”
Their Unbroken Productions company will coproduce season 4 of Christina on the Coast as well as additional new shows.
“Excited to share what we’ve been working on behind the scenes. ‘Christina In The Country’ has officially been picked up by @hgtv for 6 episodes. Now I have the best of both worlds…the coast and the country,” she wrote via Instagram on Thursday. “Our team has some incredible projects in the works out in Tennessee! It feels good to do what I love with who I love. Josh and I have the most creative / supportive production partners and can’t wait to create some fun content. Slated to air in late 2022. Life’s good .”
