Thomson is a news anchor for the CTV News Channel. Before joining the news team, she worked for CTV’s CANADA AM as the Co-Host from 2003 up to when the program came to an end in June 2016. While working at Canada’s most-watched daybreak show she had an opportunity to interview the nation’s most treasured athletes, musicians, authors dignitaries, and actors such as Donald Trump, Hilary Clinton, The Right Honourable Stephen Harper, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Most importantly, she made the first Canadian television interview with Governor General David Johnston and his wife at Rideau Hall. Thomson also interviewed numerous top Hollywood personalities such as Bradley Cooper, Jane Fonda, and Barbara Walters among others. She’s illustrious, almost three decades in her career has taken her all over the world, including London, England for this reason, in mid-April 2011 she was at the Royal Wedding filming the build-up a series for CANADA AM, Thomson covered municipal elections and countless federal for Canada’s provincial. To summarize, she was in Washington, D.C. to cover the 2009 Presidential Inauguration. Thomson contributed to, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and as a result, she won the 2010 Voice of the Foundation Award.
