Thomson is a news anchor for the CTV News Channel. Before joining the news team, she worked for CTV’s CANADA AM as the Co-Host from 2003 up to when the program came to an end in June 2016. While working at Canada’s most-watched daybreak show she had an opportunity to interview the nation’s most treasured athletes, musicians, authors dignitaries, and actors such as Donald Trump, Hilary Clinton, The Right Honourable Stephen Harper, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Most importantly, she made the first Canadian television interview with Governor General David Johnston and his wife at Rideau Hall. To summarize, she was in Washington, D.C. to cover the 2009 Presidential Inauguration.
