She accepted a position in the media department at Callaway Golf in Carlsbad, California. Turner Sports approached her after only a few months on the job to work at the 2016 PGA Championship. Her performance was noticed, and in 2017, CBS hired her to help cover The Genesis Open. Balionis impressed CBS Sports’ Chairman and was hired full-time to cover golf, NFL, and college football games.

Amanda stated in a 2017 interview with Golf Digest’s Stephen Hennessey that her long-term goal is to become a full-time golf and football broadcaster for CBS. During the 2017/18 season, she was given her first opportunity to demonstrate that her knowledge of American Football was on par with her golf knowledge.

She was assigned to broadcast from the sidelines during a Week 5 game between the Raiders and the Chargers. Her dream of covering a Super Bowl became a reality in 2019. CBS gave her the keys to Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, which The Patriots eventually won. Aside from covering the NFL, Balionis works as a CBS sideline reporter during college football games.
