Means works for 13ABC as a crime reporter. During her tenure, she was present in Buried in the Backyard documentary about Sierah Joughin. Joughin disappears from Ohio on oxygen. Means gained national awareness because of reporting on stories in Toledo including her proceeding coverage of sex trafficking a minor by three Toledo pastors who were convicted. Furthermore, in November, the Toledo Urban Federal Credit Union will reward her because of her great effort and commitment to the community.
After graduating, Means moved to her native town to work for Sheridan Broadcasting Networks. Then she joined WAMO Radio where she reported on both the news and traffic. Later, she assisted to produce the end-of-week newscasts in the morning and noon for WTAE-TV, the ABC affiliate. Afterward, she moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana to work for WKJG-TV as a general assignment reporter before leaving after two years. Finally, she went to WXYZ in Detroit and spent time as a freelance journalist.
Previously, Means started her journalism career after her mother and grandmother made it compulsory to be at a journalism workshop in the second year of high school. The seven-day workshop educated her on the basics of the craft and as a result, she decided to pursue a career in the field of broadcasting.

Moreover, throughout her career Means has been honored with a couple of awards including regional Emmy nominations and various awards from the Associated Press. Murrow Award in 2017 also resulting in a nomination for an Emmy.
