Alex began interning with the Event Management and Promotions sector of Emory University’s Athletic Department during her first Master’s semester. This landed her an internship position with Emory’s baseball team in the spring semester. She also became the host of a weekly web series for the Protection of Collegiate Athletes for the organization.
Alex was later introduced to promotional and spokes modeling while still doing her master’s. These opportunities offered her more of the on-camera experience and skills she portrays. Alex later decided to merge her sports background with her comfort and devoted love of being on-camera, and she transitioned to sportscaster.
Alex worked as the media and broadcasting assistant for the Gwinnett Gladiators, a professional hockey team of the ECHL, in her final semester of her master’s. She was promoted to the official Rinkside Reporter for the Gladiators after graduating with her master’s in Science Sports management. At the end of the hockey season, the management offered her the responsibility of conducting all post-game interrogations from the Gladiators’ bench.
Alex has served two seasons as the on-camera reporter/in-arena host for the NHL Philadelphia Flyers. She also hosted the Flyers pre-game, intermission shows, and promotional contests at all TV breaks and stoppages in play. She also hosted society events for featured videos on the Flyers’ official website.
Alex became the host of her weekly series, “Run It Back,” in the Fall of 2016. The series was Aired by Whistle Sports, a new global media company re-imagining sports worldwide. She was later hired by the in-stadium and on-camera reporter for New York City FC of the MLS for the 2017 season before moving to Boston.
